Wayfinding, Semiotics, and Signage
The Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson Aiport is Manitoba's only international airport and the seventh busiest in Canada. Their current branding was preserved for this school project.
We were tasked to create a wayfinding system complete with icons, various signage, a map, and other expressions. I chose the Winnipeg Airport because having it universal and bilingual was very important, especially since it's international. This was also a challenge I wanted to attempt. Some key objectives were legibility, materials, accessibility, environment, and overall function.
